The model is the ECB-900.

There’s a bad photo of it with my aftermarket Williams Martini style nato strap. It’s advertised as having a 21mm band, but my 20mm nato straps fit perfectly.

I replaced the metal band because I like the variety of nato straps I have (which are very quick to swap) and I do not have the tools to remove links from the strap.

He re it is with a “Gucci” coloured nato strap, I’m not sure why the photos turned out so different since I took them in the same lighting conditions.

Features? Stopwatch, timer, alarm, world time, digital/analog hybrid, solar power, and bluetooth. 49mm case diameter and 13-14mm case thickness (as advertised, haven’t measured it personally ).

I thought it’d be a big watch, and it is - while I think the diameter is nice, it is a thick watch. I’d seen advertised measurements of 13-14mm but it feels like it’s the 14mm side. Then again, I tend to wear slim automatics with minimal complications so maybe this is expected with this kind of watch.

It syncs with the time on your phone over a Bluetooth app. World time is easy to set with either preset settings in the watch or a city of your choice in the app. It’ll automatically update based on where you are in the world. This feature will only be useful to me a few weeks out of the year but I love it. You can even save stopwatch/lap data and shit like that, but I’m not interested in that.

It’s also available with blue accents, but I thought it stood out a bit too much since the tachymeter dial was also accented blue whereas mine has it in the same colour as the dial.

Would I recommend it? It’s not the style of watch I’d normally buy, but it feels like quality and I think it’ll last a long time. The bluetooth connectivity alone means that it’ll be obsolete at some point but until then I’m going to enjoy it.

It looks great on the NATO strap, but I think it’d look better with some less-busy colorways, since there’s so much going on on the face. But, still, looks like a tank, and probably will be. Congrats!

I have a Citizen PCAT that I bought like 8 years ago for the same reasons as you: it’s got solar power, atomic time sync, perpetual calendar, and a time zone adjustment. This is all self-contained where it receives the old school atomic clock radio signals and the time zone adjustment is that lower dial on the face. The face is busier than I’d prefer but it has all the features I wanted. I haven’t done a single bit of maintenance on it in the entire time I’ve had it other than keep it clean.

I was looking for one of those atomic ones but couldn’t find one with the right look/price for me. Having the atomic control built in would be nice, but the bluetooth syncing is nice which is a similar idea with different execution.

I may need to get some more solid nato bands; these were used on a much simpler Timex which was black with chrome accents, whereas the colours on the watch along with the complications may clash with the striped bands I have right now.

I like to coordinate the strap with the face.

The Seiko came with a metal bracelet, and the Tissot had a silicone band. Both have red sweepers, so I went with straps that continued the line.

With the number of complications and the printing on the bezel, I think a solid black, grey, or red would look great on yours.
